Our soil is a 50/50 .mix of mushroom compost and sandy organic loam. This is an ideal mix for raised gardens because the vegetable matter from the compost will absorb water and hold it longer than straight soil. There is also an abundance of nutrient from the compost due to the composition of the mushroom compost block.
